Tons of fossil bone and many new species were uncovered during the 2018 Expedition to Niger by Paul Sereno - a remarkable 2-month, 2000-mile odyssey in the Sahara Desert. The picture on the left is an aerial view of the 60-foot long skeleton of a new long-necked dinosaur discovered on the expedition. Fabulous fossil discoveries, too many to completely unearth, have spurred plans to return to the Sahara in October 2019 and in the summer of 2020.
